Here's a few though.

Out of the 48 countries taking part, we've all backed 5 of them to get out of the group stages, and there's 1 country no-one fancied!!

​

89 different players have been named in the 11 man squads we picked, 35 of them picked only once.  The most popular player was picked 32 times.

​

We've picked 22 different Domestic Clubs, and hope their players will score points during the competition, 4 of the clubs have been picked just once, the most popular has 25 of us backing them.

​

Oh, and as every player in those 22 domestic clubs could score points for at least one of us, it means I'm tracking 258 players

​​

AND - we've a prize pot of £1,212.75 to play for across the three competitions.

​

BUT, and it's a huge BUT, the real winner will be the charities being supported, as currently, through this competition, the London Weekend and the Lottery, we have raised 

​

£2,081.76

​

split between Help For Heroes and Great Ormond Street Hospital

​

With the Lottery still open until Thursday 5PM, when the draw will be made, and the door still open for any late joiners to the competition, and then, money raising events at the London in July Weekend, we can expect that sum to grow even bigger.

Here's to 38 days of sleep deprivation, 104 games, questioning why we stayed up/got up to watch Iran v New Zealand and Uzbekistan v Colombia, and to the eternal hope that will stay with us right up until that final moment it's finally extinguished for another 4 years, and finally here's to getting the flags out, and then putting back in 'that' draw again.
